In 1985, Dr. Jarrett and Deannna Lewis, R.N. established the oocyte donation program
at Midwest Reproductive Medicine and coordinated it until they left
to form Jarrett Fertility Group in 2005. We have a large number of
active oocyte donors, which means that the wait from the time a couple
decides to pursue donor oocytes until the time at which they actually
undergo the procedure should be minimal. We personally screen, interview,
and know each donor. We feel this allows us to keep our program much
more personal than many larger, wholesale donor egg programs. We have
devoted an entire web site to this process, http://www.donoreggs.net/.
Oocyte donation is a method of assisted reproduction which allows couples in whom the female is unable to produce oocytes a chance to conceive. Women may be unable to produce oocytes for a variety of reasons including surgery, prior treatment for cancer, premature ovarian failure, and advanced age.
